Gaming What will going to Prometheus-4 do?

My PSP is currently on 5.50 GEN D-3. If I were to upgrade to Prometheus-4 would that corrupt my save files? I know changing the firmware completely would...but will going to Prom-4 leave my saves fine, as in I'll be able to play my games as if nothing happened?

And as another little side-question, will doing this fix the "freezing" issues in MGSW that only seem to happen to PSP's on 5.50 GEN D-3?

No it won't corrupt your saves(best to back up any way)

and Yes MGSW will work 100% on Prometheus.

Upgrading your firmware won't corrupt your saves (some might do but it usually doesn't happen) only downgrading from GEN D3-Prom-1-4 will.

Ah alright, thanks guys.

But before I do update, can I just put the "Prometheus Update Folder" folder in my "PSP/GAME" folder and then run the update on my PSP? Like with all my stuff on the Memory Stick still? Or does it need to be a formatted/empty memory card? Cause the first option would be much better/easier as I won't lose stuff and stuffs... D:
