Well, i'm interested in homebrew games/apps now, but I don't know what to get..... Maybe someone else will know?

Genres I like:
Puzzle
Action / Adventure
Strange (think RIN_LEN or Warioware)
Rhythm
Useful
Adventure
Action
Simulation

Games/Apps I have/tried:
DSOrganize (Do not need it, Interwebs sucks)
HAPPYCAT (Useless)
RIN_LEN (Fun as hex)
DSHoBro (It sucks)
Okiwi (It sucks)
Bunjaloo (It sucks)
Video Games Hero (Great game)
LoitumaGirlDS (Kind of meh there..)
Ribbon (Kewl)
Lick's Media Player (Yay music!)

Stuff I look at considering games/apps:
Graphics (if any)
Wifi / Intarwebz (if any)
Gameplay/Usage
Other people's ratings (if any)
Does it look fun/useful?

Games/Apps I hate (Ones I will never try even if I will die if I don't):
Still Alive DS
Quake DS (or any other versions of quake on a DS)
Doom DS (or any other versions of doom on a DS)

And once the use for this thread has finished, it shall become a thread for people to ask what homebrew they should get.

>> Dude this application is awesome

HAPPYCAT (Useless)
RIN_LEN (Fun as hex)

DSHoBro (It sucks)

>> has some issues but unless you're using the Opera browser. its one of the more complete browsers around.

Okiwi (It sucks)
>> Not supported anymore. (Blame the coders)

Bunjaloo (It sucks)
>>Another great Web borwser! Right now it can use a update but if you dont have the opera browser this is top of my list of recommendations with the DS Organize browser coming second (only b/c its a bit too buggy at times)

Video Games Hero (Great game)
LoitumaGirlDS (Kind of meh there..)
Ribbon (Kewl)

Lick's Media Player (Yay music!)
>> music player is way better with DS organize

With the way you go about dissing apps, I wonder is using homebrew for apps is for you. You do know this is HOMEBREW right? Dont expect commercial quality stuff. As for the stuff that is near commercial quality, be thankful that you have it. In fact, this year, when you're at the Thanksgiving table, be thankful for all of these kind coders who work, without pay, to make our lives better.

I don't really diss apps, it's just that a lot of them aren't for me (Or suck, like this Chuck Norris joke thing I found for the DS that was in full english and had english statements in the document you had to have for the thing but when you try to use it all the statements were in french..).
Like DS Organize, I really don't need it taking up space if all I was going to use it for was the internet browser that never even worked for me.
Same with all the other internet browsers. None of them even worked because all I ever go on is Gaia Online and Youtube, and neither of them worked on any of the homebrew internet browsers i've tried.
I generally like homebrew games much better, but all I can usually find are ports of Doom or something, of which I have no intention to play or give a dang about.

I've got GB and GBC, NES, and Genesis emulators.... I don't really need anymore.....

But if you've got a port of Cubivore i'll take that.

Portal - game , hombrew , great one.
Eh, it's a port of the flash version of Portal, which I wasn't fond of because it had puzzles that were so simple they had to be solved in a complex way. Think of it as a rubix cube with only 2 squares. Simple puzzle but complex solution.

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
