I just bought a nds phat for 60 dollars. Now I need to get a flash cart for it.

I am planning to get both a slot 1 and a slot 2 card that way one for nds and other for gba.

I am thinking of getting the a2 and the 3-1 ez

someone said 3-1 ez might not work in a nds phat?

Acekard 2 is great & cheap.
CyclodDS Evolution is great but costs a lot more.

I'm not sure if the 3-1 EZ works on a phatty (don't think it does due to the size of the cart, it may be smaller so it doesn't stick out of the DS Lite) but then I never needed one as I've always had a M3 CF which runs GBA stuff well.

Why wouldn't it? There's a GBA-sized 3in1 that will work just as well as the dust cover-sized version.

I would recommend the CycloDS Evolution for this.
It's build quality is amazing, I never had any problems with it.
The Real Time Save works brilliantly, the menu's are quick and responsive, the support is very good.
It can play multimedia files with Moonshell perfectly, has cheat support, responsive menu's, ....
It's well worth the extra money if you ask me.

You can buy it from here for example:

That's a great webshop, with great support and I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Get a Cyclo DS Evolution (Because it's a beast) and an EZ Flash 3-in-1 (GBA Size, Not Lite). That is the combination that I have for my DS Phat, and it works great.

M3 Real with the Sakura Firmware is absolutely amazing. It has great interface, very smooth, can play video and music without the need of a homebrew app, and plays roms great with cheat support and real time save. Plus it's constantly being updated.

I'd have to say it's the number 1 firmware out there. It's just awesome...freaking awesome.
