Hacking What to do if switch battery is empty during RCM.

It’s been some time since I used my switch, but now when I inject the atmosphere payload I get an empty battery symbol wich a flash inside (so apparently charging) in the left upper corner after the atmosphere screen shortly pops up.

So I guess the battery is too empty to start it. I kind of remember from some time ago, that in RCM the Switch is not charging normally and therefore I had to do a trick during boot or something similar, but I can’t remember the specifics anymore.

Can someone please let me know what I need to do?

In RCM mode, the Switch will only slowly charge.
If you boot into OFW or CFW, it will enable fast charging.
But your Switch should boot normally if you plug in the charger.

note that for the first few %, it will not fast-charge either.
I think that is better for the battery life.
