Just copy it over to your computers hard drive and made sure you don't EVER lose it. You dont need to use it right now, but if you ever make a bad mistake on your wii and your wii becomes (bricked) then that could be the only thing to save your wii.

It is best to make a new NAND backup before you try doing anything to your wii that you are unsure about or any time you are making a major change or installing something.

Over time as you learn more about the wii you wont have to make nand backups so often because you will hopefully learn the behind the scenes stuff that is going on and you'll hopefully learn what mistakes to not make. But just for the safety of the wii, make sure you always have a NAND backup in case things goes bad.

Whenever you boot your wii up, the bootmii menu will appear first even if the wii is bricked. Have your backup NAND on your SD Card and then run the restore NAND function from the bootmii menu. That simple.

Well, the bootmii menu will only show up at the start of your wii if the bootmii files and folder are on your sd card. It will also need to be installed as boot2 (which you can only do on older wiis) for it to start up when you turn on your wii, if it's installed as an ios, then it isn't much better then priiloader, and can't really help you much if you have a really bad brick. But a NAND backup is always important to have, even if you only have bootmii as an IOS.
