Gaming What the "3D Classics" should have been...........

I can't imagine the Japanese being left out when it comes to a Zelda game, to be honest.
what i meant is that we are getting close to the release of the game and i still havent heard about the game in japan so is this game getting a worldwide release?

Former. They could do something about the 3D. But I would like the original game to be there if it's impossible. It's the best retro game I've played.

they have NES Donkey Kong on the eShop now. its still missing pie factory level and 50m though.

they had a special offer a while back for free "Donkey Kong Original edition", which had the pie factory level (not same as eshop release), if you bought a premium downloadable version of a game. i fell for the offer but deeply regretted it. so i basically paid $40 for NES donkey kong.

also, the gameboy Donkey kong is quite boss, the original game plus hundreds of different levels.

Well we can all wank about what the 3D classics should have been, but no matter what, they cost far too much to produce.

If Nintendo have done 3D classics with SNES and Genesis games instead of NES things would be a lot easier.
Creating layers on games that don't have seems to be challenging, I already saw some Nintendo devs commenting about difficult in making layers for Urban Champion.
Nintendo has many amazing games for SNES that would sell like Coca-cola on christmas.
Who wouldn't want Super Mario World, Zelda ALttP, Donkey Kong Country, Super Metroid and many others as 3D classics.

Of course we will gain nothing complaining about lack of SNES 3D classics,
but why on earth does Sega 3D classics do not get released here?

I think NES games in general are a waste for 3D classics. But that's just because I'm too young to have grown up playing NES games. However, I think SNES games would benefit better from it. You have stuff like Star Fox which would be great for a 3D port, and every top down (especially isometric) game would be great for it.

every comment is about SNES. its useless to fantasize about SNES games on 3DS. Nintendo decided not to devote time to it, and never will.

and from a Business standpoint, i completely understand why.
(remember the great video game crash caused by Atari flooding the market with too many games). if they release the same game on every system people will get sick of it, and will probably not want to Re-buy it again anyway, and will criticize.

thats why Earthbound release was a brilliant marketing strategy. its like fishing, tease them till they get hungry for it, then reel them in. personally i would rather they devote their time on a BRAND NEW Metroid or F-Zero game, then bloating up the eShop with a game i have been playing with an emulator since 1998.

besides SNES is more suited to a home console rather than a portable. its better on the Wii anyway. the best SNES games are RPGs and Strategy games.

NES is a little different, in that most NES games are short and fast paced, and are better suited for quick bursts of gameplay. and the simpler graphics style means a 3D upgrade will be more noticeable.
