To the "pointless Pokemon" comment, nobody's forcing you to read this. If you don't like it then ignore it. There's alot of people here who play Pokemon so I'm not about to go to another random site and join there just to discuss it. I enjoy the games to an extent but outside of that I really don't care about Pokemon. Overall this topic was just out of curiosity. Some will evolve theirs regardless of how/what they do or look like just because of the higher stats.

For me I just like Wartortle too much to let it evolve to a Blastoise. I don't play competitively so apart from needing a team that can wipe the floor with the Elite 4 it doesn't matter too much to me if they're not the best. As for Pikachu any norm one I'd evolve but having one that actually knows Fly or Surf I'm kind of hesitant to do so. It sorta ruins authenticity to me, sort of I guess... Besides, if I ever decide to trade it away leaving it as a Pikachu may prove more valuable to someone as they can decide themselves if they want to evolve it.

I wouldn't evolve Mudkip, Clefairy, Togetic, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Staryu, Psyduck, Slowpoke, Mareep, Azurill, Skitty, Egg, or... Ummmm..... Lapras.

There's a glitch in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire where your egg hatches into an egg, then a few steps later hatches again, and again.... And then after one battle it'll evolve into a Bad Egg, which can corrupt your game.

The first instance this glitch can happen is in that volcano place with the hot spring, where the old person gives you an egg. If something goes wrong when you get it, the ID will fuck up and it'll keep hatching until you evolve it into a bad egg....

But even then there's a chance it'll keep hatching into a bad egg.... Then sometimes it'll evolve into a Kanghaskan or something. XD
