Water itself is not conductive, it is the stuff solved in it that is. But still, most forms of water you come into contact with have some highly conductive salts solved in itself, especially bodily fluids. And even specially produced highly pure water is not without those ions, as a small portion of the water is always present as hydronium hydroxide, a highly conductive salt, about 0.00001 grams in a litre of water.

Echoing Fat D though, as long as the water is pure, you should be fine

My dad once spilled something on his phone (or did something), took it apart and bathed it in pure water-it was fine after that.

Wow I blow my DS lite almost daily until I replaced the case. The spit actually helps it work better, at least on the lite.

Ok so i have one of the launch DSi's and Have been loving it so far (The main resaon i upgrade is becuz my ds lite had a busted screen /LR didnt work i could make it work by sometimes blowing spit in between the lr buttons) anyways After several months of heavy usage my R button no longer seemed to respond well So i thought to myself lets try blowing on it so i did and it seemed to work i was jamming to my music and R worked for a While the thing was plugged in and all the sudden Boom Shuts off turn it back on turns off after about 10 secs repeat until it just flashes a white screen b4 turning off about 20 minutes later it works fine good as new Scared me half to death i was online filling out a nintendo Factory Mantinence form when i tried it agin THANK god SO NEVER EVER EVER BLOW ON THE LR BUTTONS IF THEY DONT WORK!!!!

Something like that happened to me too but with my DS lite and the top screen stoped working for a little while then came back to work. Except i didn't spit in my button, I just blowed...

er.. maybe i did spit without knowing...hmmm

I should do something about that then...
