Gaming What is wrong with fortnite on the Switch?

There's been a lot of discussion about Fortnite coming to the Switch and my stance ever since the beginning was: I'm not going to fucking play it anyway so I really don't give a shit. A rumor with a certain degree of credibility behind it for Fortnite Switch has been posted to the front page and a number of members seem to be venting their frustration in the comments. Sure you might not like the game, but why get so buttsore over it?

I play it sometimes with friends. It's not that bad. It's the fortnite-community that sucks.
I think it's not a bad idea to port it to the switch.
Fortnite is the most played Battle Royale game right now and I guess it's good for Nintendo AND Epic Games.

Most people think because it's popular it's a bad game. The game itself is decent, but the main reason people don't want Fortnite for Switch is the fanbase. The fanbase can destroy the reputation of the Switch fast.

theres no real reason to be upset over it. I personally just view the community around it as being trashy and hating on fortnite is kinda a meme now so eh. it wont hurt the switch in any way really and will probably lead to some more sales so best of luck with it nintendo

The "original" game, Fortnite: Save the World, is still available to purchase, but not as supported by the developers since Battle Royale is what's actually making them money.

Its a super popular game and for some reason people just like to hate it because of that. Battle Royale's are a lot of fun if you can play them decently, the problem is most people start playing and just die over and over again before giving up and just say the game is bad. I'm glad the game is coming to the system but I won't be playing it since I prefer PC anyway.

I certainly don't know why the hate, I LOVE that the game is coming out for Switch, I never played it but its a good sign, because well.... more support for Nintendo! and TBH it looks very good and fun!

I absolutely abhor the fanbase, but I want it on Switch because I love seeing 3rd party games being announced for the console, increasing the system's popularity. Just like how Crash Bandicoot and South Park were announced.
