Remove uLoader and install USB Loader GX instead. Its highly recommended that you update your cIOS to the latest.

Have you verified if your drive is able to read standard DVDs? Only oldest Wiis can do it.

Try loading a backup DVD with Neogamma. It should tell if the drive is too new.

my wii is from 2008 so should be able to read standard dvds and neogamma isn't very accurate for saying if works or not

i used uloader my entire life so is prefference and priiloader ios 249 didn't worked

If you think so. On all compatible consoles it always loaded backup DVDs for me. You can also try loading a pressed video DVD with WiiMC-SS to check if the drive reads standard DVDs.

Chances for getting accurate information about a loader which has not been in development or wide use for very long aren't so good. This leaves trial and error (or reading the source code) if nobody can answer your question directly.

The pretty much only thing I use uLoader for is backup DVD loading with external drive; and this just because no other loader seems to support that.
