You're gonna get a lot of varied answers from both sides. Functionally, they are the same, but Atmosphere requires more configuration to get working. There's a reason that AtlusNX's starter pack Kosmos is far and away the most popular means to use Atmosphere. It's also a difference of community. If you join both discord server's the mindset between how moderation should be done is night and day, ReSwitched rules their Iron fist, and ReiNX mods only get involved as a last resort.

When you get down to the nitty gritty of it, both are CFWs that do the same thing and you will be banned if you go online with either of them.

Ok thanks

Kept getting a crash with atmosphere so trying reinx instead still haven't got to the bottom of the error code

Pretty much the only differences are that Atmosphere gets updated more often (meaning it usually gets stuff first) and has more anti-telemetry/ban stuff and ReiNX comes with sigpatches

I mean, yea, obviously someone could get around it if they really wanted to. But its better than nothing :)

With browser exploits coming out soon, users on ipatched Switches could inadvertently run a revised SwitchFuckerUpper without the ability to make/restore a backup. I feel like educating the users on how to spot and not run malicious code would be better. I don't know about you or any of them, but I certainly don't have $300 USD to bet on Atmosphere.

I do agree that people should be educated on spotting malicious apps. But its still nice to have this feature
