What is the best game controller to use these days?

GuliKit for four back paddles: KK3 series has left stick on top; TT series has d-pad on top. They have their own MagLev rumble motors. You can map gyro to the right stick, but it only works when you hold ZL or L. There are three sensitivity levels (though you could choose different levels for the ZL and L modes). They're all pretty wobbly and only work when you're not moving the right stick, instead of adding to the right stick signal. The real gyro in Switch mode is fine.

GameSir for app customisation: Nova has left stick on top; Tarantula Pro has d-pad on top and many many extra buttons (though only two on the back where I want them…) - good for emulator save/load / speedup? They use the same rumble motors as the DualSense. The app is handy, as you can map gyro to the right stick with independent y-inversion. Good for games that don't have gyro as an option, for weirdos like me who started 3D gaming on the N64 with Ocarina of Time &c. that had compulsory inverted-y.

Neither one totally replicates HD Rumble - the signal continuing after the intended sound effect ends is more obvious than with the original ALPS modules - but are both fine. GameSir's is slightly better, but you lose the four back paddles.

I was researching this topic a while back and concluded that the GameSir Cyclone 2 is it, at least for me.
Clicky buttons, TMR sticks, support for xinput on PC and switch. The only thing I wish it would have is adjustable stick tension like on the Vader but this is as good as it gets at the moment.
