a newbie is someone who just started playing a game and may or may not be good at it.

a noob is someone who's been playing the game for a long time now and is still bad at it.

one guy i know has been trying to learn to play the guitar for about 3 years now and still hasn't gotten past the simple a and c strums. i.e. complete noob.

NEVER! i refused to acknowledge this mainly because if i do, i am a sad noob and no longer a proud newbie at games

A noob to me is a fag who is too dumb to think on his own, too proud to admit that he knows nothing about who he is saying and too lazy to type i am sorry, too sissy to admit that those are valid reason and not an opinion and probably a lot more stuff.

A newb is a nice guy who you meet in games, he may not know much, but he is willing to share his knowledge with fellow new comer and help each other out. A newb is someone who if you help him out, he will be willing to repay you 2 folds or maybe more. A newb is someone who is willing to learn, willing to consider your advice, willing to share, willing to say i am sorry if he did mistakes and probably he isnt someone overwhelmed with bitterness.

In short, a Noob is someone who deserved to be placed in a tomb while a newbie deserved to be cuddled.
