Hacking What External Harddrive should I buy?

My experience is that two drives works just fine without any problems (both with Y cable)

Transcend StoreJet 25M2, usb 2.0, 500GB
Samsung M3 Portable, usb 3.0, 500GB

So one could do 2TB@Y-cable@back-ports for Wii U and 4TB@Y-cable@front-ports@Ustealth for vWii.

That would leave out the GC-port adapter though. Wonder if it's possible to throw an unpowered USB hub into that sort of chain.

Like Y-cable-->4-port-hub-->HDD+GCadapter.

All without external power and some velcro involved.
