Hacking What exactly is wrong with my DS?

Alright, this happened before but it went away. Now it won't go away.

If during a game (DQ9), I put my DS in sleep mode (close it), and then re-open it, a minute later it shuts off (the DS). And then it starts doing that 'you power it on but it shuts off instantly' act (like a blown fuse).

BUT if I shut my DS cover, and then re-open it, the DS turns on fine.


(And if I repeat the whole scenario, it happens again)

EDIT: Now it went away but I'm sure it will happen again sooner or later.

Sounds like a loose connection somewhere after switching cases.

Where about you think? It kinda seems weird because it's only when the case closes and not when the top screen moves back and forth (from the hinge). Probably the ribbon cable, right?

I don't want to take it apart so I'll have to live with it, unless somebody else has any ideas

I don't know if this is related, but my DS has shut off at least twice while in sleep mode during a DQIX session. Battery was charged and continued operating when I turned it back on with no other problems.

The first time I thought I was imagining it. I figured I must have turned it off and forgotten about it. The second time I was sure.

edit: this hasn't happened with any other title so far. I'm using the xenom release with AK2/AKAIO 1.7 on a DSL.
