HI everyone,

I have a v1 Nintendo switch that I modded. I went to charge it and it would not charge, or turn on It gave me an error code 2101-0001.
I noticed the charger cable had been chewed by my puppy and the red and black wireds were shorted.

I did some seaching and everyone said it was the m92 chip so I found someone local and they replaced the chip.
When I went to pick it up it still showed the error code but it was charging. The person said it was cause I didnt have the sd card in it since it was modded.
I took it home inserted my sd card plugged it in , the first time I rebooted it still got an error message but it was different it gives error code 2134-0501. REbooted again and it worked and booted in , played on it for a bit and put it down, it must have gone into sleep mode but instead of coming back on when I hit the power button , it reboots to the error coded.

Weird thing is it sometimes it boots up just fine but that's only when I have it plugged in and after continuously turning the unit on and off. Also when plugged in it gives error code 2134-0501, when I remove the usb I get the original error code 2101-0001. Another problem is if I finally get the unit to boot into the system , if I remove the usb the unit will restart, if I leave the usb plugged in and hit the power button to put the unit to sleep it will also restart. Another weird thing is that it does charge even after getting these error messages.

I am wondering if the person who replaced the m92 chip made a mistake and there could be a short somewhere.

I already paid him but I did message him and he said to bring it back, I just got to figure out how to get back there since hes 30 mins away and I dont have a car.

I have checked the port and it seems fine.
Have you checked on the inside? Because since you get all issues when using it, it almost points towards something with the USB-C. An tester would be the best to rule it out of course.

sorry for not getting back to you sooner, what kind of tester do I need, can you link one. Thank you
