AS OF JANUARY 10, 2015:
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
  • Backup System NAND - Very important!
  • Backup and Restore Savegames
  • Backup Game Card
  • Diagnostic Test (which will fail anyway unless you have a Gateway)
WHAT YOU CAN'T DO:
  • Play Games (It should be possible in the future)
  • Boot into emuNAND (It should be possible in the future)
  • Run Homebrew (It should be possible in the future)
  • Downgrade your Console (Once as Gateway completes that feature)
  • Anything else I didn't mention in the WHAT YOU CAN DO part
Gateway Ultra works on all 3DS consoles (excluding the New 3DS/XL), including the 2DS. The exploit also works without a Gateway which is pretty cool.

Concerning the 2DS on downgrades:

The 2DS cannot be downgraded to older firmware versions (except for the supported firmware range, 8.X to 9.X) due to the lack of support for the 2DS's features (I.E. Turning the Wifi ON/OFF using a menu instead of a physical switch).

It should be noted that the developers should take a peek at Gateway's exploit (which is pretty much something found on Pastebin which they didn't made) and port their ROP chains to this new one.

yes more info on supercard dstwo+ is coming once the sc team stops spamming my email
teaser: it supports 9.X, the "it supports 4.X only" is bullshit

And how can I Backup the System NAND or Backup Game Cards without Gateway?
Is there a tutorial for it?

Just do the normal steps for the exploit. If you can access the Gateway's menu by doing the exploit normally, you get access to all those features.

1- Put the Launcher.dat of gateway 3ds into your's 3DS SD;
2- Enter in http://go-gateway-3ds.com/ using your 3ds;
3- Load the exploit;
4- Insert the card you want to dump;
5- Go to "DUMP CARD...."
6- ???

I've a older R4 Gold Pro (Upgrade) Card here, do I need to update the kernel on a normal NDS first or can I run it with the Exploit?

I used it last time on Firmware 6.2, i think.
When I try to run the Gateway Exploit, the Browser is crashing and I get back to the Main Menu. I'm on SysNand 9.2

EDIT:
It seems that the card is running normally, when I start it as normal cartridge. It only displays "Loading" when I do this

I'm getting an error when running the exploit.
Try clearing your cache and cookies in the 3DS Internet browser (deleting save data also may work). This appears to be a known issue and this is the current workaround. Also, try removing any gamecards in your 3DS and don't press any buttons until the top screen has turned grey, from here you can press L to bring up the Gateway menu if you have run the exploit before or the R button to update the Gateway 3DS card. In addition to these, ensure that your SD card is formatted to FAT32, as some other file partitions appear to be causing problems (e.g. NTFS, exFAT).

If you are having trouble with any of this, please see this guide.
