DEFEND YOUR CASTLE!
i have a few ideas of things we can do with this one. but my personal fav hack would be to make it so if u kill something with archers you accualy get points, not sure how possiable that is but eh,
another idea is to hack so if you convert one you convert 12.

and finnaly changing sprites, 100s of marios attacking your castle

disclaimer: i dont know anything about hacking these are just ideas, feel free to attack me with THATS NOT POSSIABLE!!! NOOb!!! ill take full responsibility for my idiot..ness

Sprites: yes
Other: maybe, but only when you know how to hack *.dol's

00000002.APP:
root\dyc\textures.lz

there are all sprites, the lz is one big LZ77 compressed TPL file, 502 Pictures inside, examples:
texturestpl183gl9.png
texturestpl55cz0.png
texturestpl244iv7.png

i think it would brick if you did anything wrong like the banners, just a guess for the sprites, seems to be too much work tbh, you would need 3-4 people working on it to get anywhere fast

I'd work on it. xP

EDIT: We should make a free Wiki or something on Wiibrew that just has some places in games that you can edit.
id work on it to, but i never got the game working on my wii sooo u know how it is lol, if we could get a small team together we could try see what we could do, but everyone needs to know hex n stuff, which im pretty good at, iv never unpacked any of the lz files befor tho i have a the banner tools tho i think somewhere on my laptop

I should find a way to on Ubuntu.
im not sure you can, i think theres a bridge tool tho to load windows apps in linux i cant remeber what its called, if anyone wants to make a small team tho message us. because i cna use stuff like this for my school work

It's called Wine.
Which stands for two different things.
WINdows Emulator
and
Wine Is Not an Emulator
http://winehq.org/

Knew about that for a long, long time. One of the first programs I ever install on a fresh install.
But what Windoze program for uncompressing the lz files?
Or is there a Ubuntu app (command line is fine, but GUI is also fine) for that? (There probably is)

Damn you people, I had just managed to forget about rampart for a few days.

/points to gbadev and romhacking.net. Plenty of LZ decompression tools for just about every OS (source too in the event of it being slightly odd).
