Gaming Weird PCs on my home network

Hi, I'm helping an uncle to check his windows server 2003, the problem is that i found this 3 "detective" devices on my home network:



they don't respond to ping, don't accept any connections, etc.

Any idea of what are they?, I guess they are part of some component on the server, but I don't know.

Well, as far as I know, they aren't part of Windows Server 2003..

I have had some lessons about it at school, and I don't remember comming across something like that.

Easy way to check if it is from an outside source is to remove the ethernet cable from the computer/router.
You might have installed software that is doing this. Spyware/virus check time ?

Right. Are you in a block of flats? Because it seems someone has been trying to connect to your network and has failed. Either by accident or on purpose. The modem has registered it for you. You might want to change your user password.

Right now I don't have physical access to the server, I'll do the virus/spyware scan.

No. it's a "secure" network, we are the only useres of the modem. I turned off the wireless and reset the modem. The 3 detective devices still appears.
