My wiimote will work in priiloader, HBC, and any games I load through cfg loader or softchip.

It doesn't work in wii system menu. I've tried 2 different wiimotes. Not sure when this happened because it used to work fine and I don't remember installing anything. Sometimes I can see the hand cursor and move it for a split second before it disappears and the wiimote won't respond at all. Maybe the system menu actually freezes?

Anyone know what is causing this or have any ideas?

you can tell is the SM freezes if channels dont move.

ive seen this happen to a friend.

every time his wiimote gets recognized by the sensor bar, the SM goes into shock and freezes, forcing a hard power down.

how old is your wii?

Well then it isn't freezing because the channels move and so does the clock. New non rechargeable batteries. Wii is a couple years old but only used maybe 10 hours until mh3

hmmm then it sounds like a sensor bar problem if they connect to your wii just fine.

Yeah they used to work fine in system menu.

I'm modding a friends wii and they work fine on that with my sensor bar. I'm at a loss

4.1u. Thinking about updating it to 4.2 but was hoping to find a solution without that. Everything else loads perfectly. Unpatched NSMB even runs fine on it, but if you think it'll help I'll do it.

I won't lose my game saves will I? I can't use system menu to copy my saves to ad card. Anyone know another way?

Thanks for taking the time to try and help XZXERO.

you should update to 4.2 by installing IOS70 then the 4.2 SM
that could possibly fix your problem.

no you wont lose your game saves if you update your firmware.
you can use savegame manager gx to backup your save files.
