Hardware Weird HDMI out problem

I recently got a Wii U. It outputs HDMI too all my TV's except for one. I don't understand why.

The TV is a 2006 Panasonic and supports 1080i. Is the TV too old? Any idea how to fix? I know I'm not connecting it up wrong as I repair electronics as a side job. My guess is maybe does the wii u only support 1080p? I don't have a gamepad yet so I can't change video settings.

Your TV should support 720p. You need Gamepad to change settings into 720p (or use another TV to do so).

Wii U does not do interlace over HDMI.

Okay thanks I didn't know that. I thought HDMI would auto detect as well.

Wii U is known to have issue with HDMI handshake (auto-detect).
