This is a picture of the folder where I keep my game ROMs and saves and stuff.
Then there are these weird files in it too, I mean, what are they doing in there, I dunno.
I can't do anything with them, I can't copy or delete them, because the source file cannot be read or something.
I sure can format my SD card, I just wanted to ask, if somebody else got kind of those files.

Never had it happen, But, all of those files are foreign?
As in you didnt put them in yourself?
Have you recently added a new rom on before this happened?
One thing it could be is a corrupt rom
Or its got a virus on it.
Formatting it should get rid of it

Card is corrupted backup any saves you can grab off it (if any) then FORMAT and reload problem solved

This is usually caused by the following/ along with several other scenario's ....bad programmed homebrew.. (an old version of dsorganize did this)

or trying to fit TOO MANY games in the root folder can also cause this to happen ..

Removing the mem card during file copy process or not using safely remove hardware on some card readers can do this too!

solution mentioned is to format and start over ... yeah a PITA if you loose your saves but not much else you can do

I'll do that

Nah, nothing bad happened to my saves.
I'll just copy them and format my card.

Thanks for your help.

I had something similar with the microSD for my CycloDS a long time ago actually...

The real irony is, the last thing I'd transferred was a Windows skin.

This happened to me to, the REALLY wierd part was, the files took up NO space (0bytes), but when i opened them, they were filled with files weighing in at 1Gb each...very strange.
However, they aren't harmful, so
