Oh, okay, looks like I'll do them, but only once in a while then, and when new games with different save sizes get released, I'll add update. Problem is, I don't have a list or any info as to what games need special save sizes, so if someone could link me that would be greatly appreciated

@Kingdom Blade;

savlib.dat is a library that tells ttmenu or ysmenu to make special sized save files for games that need it, ie pokemon platinum needs a 1mb save.

No need. I never even felt the use for savlib.DAT. It was pointless. I couldn't figure out what that thing was for... but I never had a problem running a game.

I don't need it too xD It just freezes when I'm loading a game on the official firmware :S

Seems like those on the official DSTT firmware can't make use of savlib.dat; but i would still like to update the savlib libraries for YSmenu users, and possibly for when the official firmware supports it. Anyone have a link or list as to which games need non-standard save sizes?

I only use YSMenu so, okay, I'll take the savlib.dat thingy please. Maybe this would help Acekard users too. Some use the Moonshell 2 with YSMenu Combo. But, since I have the TTDS... look at me, blabbing. Anyway, just keep it up!

Would you look at that, as soon as i start talk of savlib edits, then those funky jap hackers update it =] They just released a new savlib library in their unnofficial hacked DSTT 1.17 firmware, which has 19 games with different save sizes, which I would think is up to date seeing as its 2 days old. So i don't think ill need to update savlib.dat, but I can still add games into it by request. The infolib.dat they include in the hacked firmware, however, is still the one that I started my updates on (ie up to 3860), but with a few changes:

o Library update to 3860.
update from 2ch library.
*add
2746 - Think Kids (EU)
3268 - Tropix! (US)
*modify
3176 - Power Pro Kun Pocket 11 (JP)

So its still not as up to date as mine

Although, I always knew that Think Kids and Tropix were not included, but of course I can add those if requested, otherwise I won't bother cause they seem like random games that noone plays anyway. And with their next release theyll include those two as well as games past 3860 from all regions, and I'll be basing updates off that, so its only temporary anyways. Same can be said for the modification of Power Pro Kun Pocket, when they next release infolib.dat it'll be included.

EDIT: Just then I took apart the savlib.dat in that release of 1.17a01, and although in the release notes they have 20 games, they only have 19, and one of them is a 512KB one that needed a special save (0x00 fill instead of 0xFF) to make it work, so in actuality two 1MB games from the release notes are missing from the actual file; I found the 8MB one and the 32MB one

So can you put the latest savlib.dat into your archive with the infolib.dat so that folks can always download the latest in a single archive?

By the way, I have updated the link in the FAQ to point to your infolib download. Thanks for taking it upon yourself to keep this up to date!

No worries, but I think I'll have savlib.dat in a different file just so I don't need to keep re-uploading the same savlib and users don't need to keep redownloading it (even if it is only 1KB, lol) I have something big going on this weekend so I'll keep updating Monday

I was just curious as to why they SAY they have 20 games, while the file has 18 as well as one they didn't mention, so maybe its not as uptodate as I would like, but it doesnt really matter seeing as all the U and E ROMs that need the savlib are included.

So the one that comes with the new TTMenu_V1.17a01 is the latest then? Cool, thanks for adding it to your site. It'll be good to have a single place to link to from the FAQ.

Any chance of keeping both files on GBAtemp in the download area, or would that be a pain for you?

Course not, thats no hassle, its just that last time I tried that, when i updated infolib and tried to

1. remove the old file off the downloads and
2. upload the new one onto the same download page

something funky happened and it didnt work, so i just scrapped that and made a site. So if I could avoid this happening again, sure!

I've been able to successfully update a file onto the same download page, but I recall seeing the glitch you describe one time where it wouldn't let me so I had to delete the whole thing and create a new one.

Anyway, not a problem. I'll just keep the link to your offsite download for now. If you change the location, let me know (post in the FAQ thread) and I'll update the link in the FAQ.

Okay, I'll leave things as it is for now. I also added the savlib.dat from the hacked 1.17a01 firmware onto the site. More updates to come by Monday.

Updated again.

Remember that you can request certain ROMs if you want them to be included. However, if it is a random patched ROM or something, you'll need to upload it to megaupload or something so i can get it.
