website cursors

im gona make a cursor but i want it to be like a string where if you move the mouse it flicks and if you dont move the mouse, it stays. i can do animations but not like i said..
i dunno how to search this on google-what word for it
anyone know how? - if program plz free one

You'd have to have a program running in the background to control what cursor sprite it should currently be displaying... Windows can't do what you're describing natively.

Sounds like a horrifically annoying site. Maybe just keep the cursor as is?

go to dynamicdrive.com or maybe its org, anyway, it uses DHTML and Javascript to do things like that. It works great for me. You may need to host the image on photobucket though.
