Homebrew We found an "Exploitable Exploit"

So today a guys named "migles" brought an idea! a good idea, there is his message:

"I FOUND A SECURITY BUG

YOU CAN SEND MIIS FROM THE WII TO 3DS,
DID ANYONE TRIED MIIFLOW? (mii+overflow, send overflow via mii to launch data)
OMG EXPLOIT!"

----->That mean that if we put exploit code with mii+overflow in a wii and then send the mii to the 3ds that will launch it!

then another guys named "weatMod" said:

"thanks best korea
so i assume it works on latest FW right?
i never use MM so can you do it from another 3ds also?

i wonder if this was GW's original N3ds solution with mii maker perhaps they found a way to trigger the sameor similar bug without using a wii?
maybe they had setup spoofed sever?is that possible for someone to make a site that 3ds mii maker connects to and thinks it's a wii using miimaker and send it the overflow?"

----->So if we found a trick to make a spoofed server that the 3ds Mii Maker that thinks that is using wii Mii Editor and send the Mii with the overflow without a Wii


So i think that is possible but we need some Devloppers and Hackers that can do it!

i never used it but there are projects that replace the defunct wii servers so maybe they can spoof wii mac addresses , i don't much about it you should ask the one hosting the project or someone who knows about it

It might be possible, but it would be pretty hard. One thing though, how are you going to make a mii that has a overflow and not let it be triggered on the wii itself?

Wouldn't Nintendo have fixed this with the 3DS? Just thinking back to when somebody posted here at the temp about doing the same thing with the Wii U, installing a glitched Mii. Just saying maybe you should keep these things private and not public so nintendo don't patch it. Also, this would be possible with the Wii mini and a wiimote, so why has nobody done anything with it.

Overflow does not equal exploit. Chances are, even if you managed to get a corrupted mii on the 3DS one way or another it would be immediately deleted by Mii Maker. If it isn't immediately deleted, then chances are the error would be handled and you would just get a "error has occurred" screen. This is just another case of "the boy who cried exploit".

Well, nintendo was quick to provide an update to the Wii U that blocked installing a modified Mii, so I doubt this would be possible to do with the 3DS since they probably fixed the 3DS at the same time.

How did this make it out of the EOF if that's where it started?

But really, EOF is like /b/ on 4chan. Its for forum games and stuff. Plus this wouldn't be possible since 1: We have to know how nintendo's servers work when they send a Mii from a Wii to a 3ds, and 2: We would have to find ANOTHER exploit to allow the "exploit" code in the mii to be allowed for full access in the 3DS system.

This is not exploitable, and was only a joke said by migles like he explained in the other thread.
even if the idea of overflow with mii is interesting, it's not something which can be done (not enough data, not executable), and I'm sure someone else already tried this.
