Ok i know there have been alot of topics about spindown issues and how to fix them by opening you harddrive
and using hdparam. But... my friend has a WD hdd exactly like mine except the inside isnt like mine. The
part that converts sata to usb is not removable. SO my question is. Is there any possible way to fix the
spindown issue without opening his usb harddrive? like maybe.. somehow emulate a usb harddrive to make my
computer think its a sata harddrive and use hdparam on it?

Have you tried the WD External Spindown software?

cIOS rev14 and rev15 fix every problem related to spindowns.

That's a lie

I have a hard drive that i have tested with every cios there is including 222 and 223 and it still has the spindown issue.

Some cios fix it better then others but it still spins down regardless.
