Hacking WBFS Manager Problem

So i got Mario Kart Wii, and tried to put it on my 8gig flash drive using wbfs. It only told me that there was an error and it could not do it.

So i burned it to a dvd and played it using that. But why was i unable to put it on my flash drive and use a usb loader to play it? What was wrong with it?

Or do i have to burn the games, and then back them up on the USB drive?


Edit: And now neo gamma R7 can't read it anymore. What's going on?

what wii you running and what version of wbfs manager?

i reccomend waninkokos cios rev10 or rev 14.

This is going to sound stupid but, how do i exactly know i installed cios? I used the Trucha Bug Restorer and went through the trouble and should have cios 15 or something like that.

I'm running 4.1U of firmware for wii and the latest version of wbfs 3.0

I should get another cios?

Has nothing at all to do with cios! He's having an issue just getting the iso on his drive using WBFS manager.

Format it WBFS and try again. Try using PrixM's WBFS GUI (a few posts down in this forum) and see if you have any issues.

I must be doing something wrong. I have a kingston 8gig flash drive and i'm trying to get mario kart on it using prixM's wbfs gui and nothing happens.

I highlight the ISOa nd click "ADD" and it seems to try to do something but then just stops.

I suppose it could be a bad ISO?

And i don't know if its legal to ask here but where do most people get their ISOs?

I'm sure i have the latest CIOS and IOS. The only thing i don't have is bootmii but idk if that does anything haha.

Sorry if i can play these games it just ruins the whole purpose of it. Could it be that wbfs just doesn't work well with kingston?

I'm just trying to put as much info as i can. I backed up the disc using the USB loader and put it on a usb drive. And now wbfs actually somewhat recognizes the game being on there. But the game won't play on the wii, the screen just stays black.

The pen drive IS formatted wbfs, correct? Maybe it is just not compatible. Isos are strictly forbidden obviously, but I can only say that usenet is your friend....but please don't ask any further on that subject.

Yeah the drive is formatted. I really hope so. I'm gonna try another ISO later because it is smaller. If it works i will go and buy a external.

Alright unfortunately another flash drive didn't work, it has the same problem. So either it's a problem with my USB ports or something i have no idea what is wrong.

WBFS manager detects everything just fine, i am just unable to actually put anything onto a usb drive.
