Hacking WarioLand Shake It - Backup Loader - FIXED!

I'm wondering, if the problem with this game is the videos, as it seems is the same problem with other games crashes with the backup loader wouldn't be possible a patcher that deletes the videos or put the same small video instead long videos.

At least for me videos are not important because I usually don't watch any of them, deleting them is not a big problem and I remeber at the beginning with the videos of testers that waninkoko thought it was a good idea cutting the videos.

It seems that waninkoko is no doing anything anymore so if someone (I haven't got the knowledge to do it) could make a patcher that deletes the videos would be a temporary solution for crashes.

Don't try this trick with Okami. Doesn't work.

Why you don't remove the movie from the ISO and play it correctly ??
What a dumb way to play a game...having to remove batteries lol

Removing the batteries causes the system to halt, and allow the game to load into memory without the "loading" screens...

the loading screens are the problem... not the movies...

The only reason for removing the batteries is that... it's not because of movies, from my knowledge of the Wii and how it loads... when the Wii Remote connection is lost (bluetooth) the internals keep working, but it won't advance the screen (hence loading screen errors are gone because it only needs to display them because it's coded to, not to actually load)

This may fix other games, but I only have a limited game collection, so I can't test them all... if anyone else has games that freeze at load, please, test and let us know!

again, guys... it's not the video that's crashing it... get off the video idea, lol

it's the 3x loading times... it's not reading fast enough, so you remove the batteries, it's allowing the system to take it's good old time to read the data into memory without allowing the crash screen to come up...

NOT THE VIDEOS!!!

update...

WARNING!!! Before you end each stage (as soon as you enter the level exit door) REMOVE THE BATTERIES! If you see the white loading screen, too bad, start over from the beginning! You've been warned!

How long should we wait to put the batteries back in?? any idea??

PS. the opening movie is really only 2min 38sec long... has anyone timed it with the loader app?
Opening movie is around ten minutes >.< I got this trick to work once now when i tried it again i seem to be failing>.< is it immediately as you enter the blue glow then? How long do we leave it out for?

Im guessing this wont work with the new loader, right?
It didnt work with both of the new loaders when i tried it. the geckoOS one that was a .wad and the backuploader .dol

when waninkoko releases his next update of the Source code USED by Wiigator to create the "gecko OS mod version" and is able to deal with the fact a 3x disc is as fast as we can get to work right now. Then we will see this improve but god damn you gotta be pretty impressed with the collective "will power" of the end users since the leak of the first build! Waninkoko is a infinitely talented coder and wiigator is awesome for making this work on my NTSC console. You are all awesome as well for the team work you all display here on gbatemp

without letting the drama of other sites admins effect the flow of things! ehem brakken lol

Kudos Thanks guys good team work guys!

Hey all, I've seen others having this problem and haven't seen it resolved anywhere yet. I have star wars force unleashed and boom blox running great but wario land shake it gets recognized by the loader, flashes a half second of green screen and goes black forever. I've noticed the remote light goes out and stays out unlike the other two games I have working also. I have used 2 different dvd burners and 2 different brand of media(Fuji and TDK) and they all do it. The source is, I'm assuming, the same one everyone else has since it's the only NTSC version I see around. Anyone with any ideas?

So you take the batteries out while it's in cutscene? WHen can you put them back in? Sorry, lol...
