Hacking Waninoko's IOS and Homebrew?

As the system menu doesn't use the custom IOS, it won't let you booting your Trucha discs from the Disc channel AFAIK.

OK, well here's what I'm talking about.

I'm trying to manage my save file of My Pokémon Ranch... and while I could use the FS Dumper to put it ON the SD card, there's no real way to put it back.

Someone suggested Trucha patching a disc so its header reads My Pokémon Ranch, and then I can use Waninoko's save extractor/installer. But he said I'd need a modchip since it would be burned on DVD-R.

So I was wondering, if this new IOS lets you read DVD-R... could I do it without the modchip installed? I wasn't talking about actually BOOTING the Trucha signed discs... only using it to get saves. (Unless someone modified the source so you don't need a disc?)



What is this about actually running Trucha signed discs? You'd have to modify the game's coding to use the custom IOS, right?

Man, this is possible, but is in waninkoko hands.

I believe with IOS patcher must have a way.
