Somebody already "came up with a way to mount the custom filesytem that the wii formatted..".
It allows you to install isos from PC (with like 3x speed) and even extract them to your PC.

I was just now editing my post. hehe that was fast!

I do wish there was a way for usbloader to read NTFS, dumping is very slow (25 mins per disc)
then again, I'm trying this with a 20GB notebook drive I had around unused hehe

Edit: didn't see the trees in the forest, you can actually copy the isos from the pc to the fs, and not only that, I read the thread I posted that you can wiiscrub them, shrinking them so more ISOs can fit! yay!

Edit2: they say that wbfs does shrink the ISO automatically...we'll see...

Yeah the whole purpose of wbfs is to shrink the ISO's. Well, and that waninkoko "hates ntfs" but he wouldn't chose a different filesystem just because of that.

@ Kedest , can you tell me where you put the boot.dol when using the forwarder? , I just keep getting a error message , I presume I have the loader .dol in the wrong place?

The correct path is X:\apps\usbloader\boot.dol
you probably have "usb loader" instead of "usbloader".

i have the boot.dol in the right place but still get the "FAT not initialised" error when using the forwarder. the direct channel works fine, but i would like to get the forwarder working. any other ideas? thanks for all the channels. this usb thing is so freaking awesome, especially with the wbfs utility.

Nope the program I use crashes when I try to replace the images.

Wadder all versions do this. Its a known problem which has been posted on their forums.
