I don't think so, since it seems as if it just downloads the old pre-patch binaries from official sources and then uses cIOS to overwrite the new ones.

So, i'm at 3.3 v1 and i have HBC right now...

1. First I need to install the cIOS37 or higher...
2. Then I can update to 3.3 v2...
3. I have to use this app (IOS Downgrader)

So, with this, i can use the Wii Shop channel and also install WAD's/Channels. Is that right? Do i need to do something else?

BTW, i guess with this won't prompt to update anymore to 3.3V2... (hope so)

the easiest way to get the shopchannel working again and wad installing possibility is to stick with 3.3v1 and to use this: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Wii_Shop_and_IOS51_installer

Wait, do you HAVE to install cIOS 37 to use this, or will cIOS 36 (which seems to have replaced cIOS 37) work? Would it be OK to install both just to be safe?

cIOS using IOS37 has been replaced by cIOS using IOS36 forever ago.

And since they are both installed as IOS249, you cannot install both, as it will overwrite the other.

i have the homebrew channel already, accidentally upgraded to 3.3v2...

will i be alright if i have the HBC?
what will this mean for future updates? i'll be more careful next time...

Actually, that means you can't downgrade.
Nintendo fixed the signing bug in IOS.

have you used the backup lanucher 0.1 or dvdx? if so then you have a cIOS installed and you can use this and then the "cIOS downgrader v1.2" to go to lower firmwares and beable to install everything again

Yeah, but would be cool newer games don't ask to update and don't have to use GeckoOS/BrickBlocker.

I had a problem with my old cIOS unable to be replaced by the new one. I had patched with 3.3v2 with PatchMii cIOS installed. The new installer refused and i didn't want to uninstall cIOS since it was my lifeline.

Ergo, this one is a mirror image of AnyRegion Changer, which I confirm will work and revert your Wii to still having the signing bug in all IOS:es.

It does not download old IOS files. They are not stored on Nintendo's server anymore. They're replaced now.

It downloads the current IOS files, removes the signing bug and installs.

You're probably correct there, but fact remains: It is now possible to downgrade again.

I'm so happy with this! I updated my wii from 3.2E to 3.3E yesterday ( dumb i know, i forgot about the truga disc's and freeloader). I was like, o sh*t after the update, but then I saw this, tried it, downgraded my ioses, downfgraded the firmware and used the wii shop update and ios 51 +patch thingy, installed everthing and it works like a charm once again
Freeloader and trucha disc, i can play them again

Well, the HBC Beta 9 can install on 3.3v2 fine using a never-used-before bug.
