Hi guys, I'm very new to the switch hacking so I don't really understand about the CFW apart from the 3 main CFW; ReiNX, Atmosphere, and SX OS.
I'm planning on buying my very first Switch and I want to install CFW as soon as I get it.

My main reason buying a Switch right now :
1. Play Switch games [NSP]
2. Stream PC games via linux
3. Play emulator

So, do u think right now is a very good timing on buying one or should I wait for a better CFW update?
What's the best Switch OS ver for CFW now?
Where should I buy it and what's the clue that the switch has the right OS ver?

Any Switch that's not hardware patched, and v6.1.0 or under should be fine. I prefer SX OS myself. Worth the cheap price for XCI loading, plus all the cool features that are included make it a good value.

If you have to buy a new Switch, you better check out its firmware (or buy a 2017 used switch), because since summer 2018 units were patched and at the moment it doesn't exist (or is released) any other exploit to run payloads, CFW etc...
You can use Atmosphere, is free and currently well supported thanks to Atlas' Kosmos package (it's just a zip that you put on your microSD and it will do everything for you).

How about the Switch Ban? What's XCI loading?

What do u mean by patched units? How can I know if the Switch I'm buying isn't the newer release one?

Nintendo has released patched consoles (mainly those that come in the new bundle like pokemon/diablo or smash) check the s/n of the switchs at the bottom at your local store before buying and compare against the s/n here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/switch-...he-first-post-before-asking-questions.481215/
