Hi, I'm discovering the joys of owning a Wii in the year of 2026. Better late than never. Been playing the NTSC Virtual Console version of Star Fox 64 a bunch, and there's this annoying audio distortion that's hard to ignore throughout the game, like the audio is crackling. It's most noticable in the end credits. This video I found on youtube shows it off as well, so I know the issue isn't just on my end: (45:56 in case the timestamp doesn't work) I was surprised how nobody online seems to have discussed this over the years. Has anyone else noticed this or similar issues on other n64 VC releases? Is the cause known? Out of curiosity, I did try the PAL Lylat Wars release, and the audio was perfectly fine in that one.

Hacking .wad not working correctly---help

I made a mistake, when my system menu was at 3.2U, I did the Nintendo update to 3.3U not the safe update, I can use the WAD manager to install the WAD to the system menu and it works fine, but when I copy it over to the SD card, it will not let me copy it back to the wii.... (I have 4.1U now, I used the safe update).... when I try to launch the WAD from the SD menu launcher, it says that it failed to launch, but the games that I download from the Wii shop channel will launch...... so did the update in 3.3U detect the nintendo signature in the WAD's?

What can I do? Can I patch the wads with a signature, or do I have to downgrade to 3.2 and safe update to 4.1???
