Homebrew Vwii region free

Sorry if there was a thread already talking about this, but considering all of them are years old I just couldn’t help but make a thread asking for a more updated answer. So I’ve decided to buy a Wii u seeing how cheap they are now. The main reason I’m buying one is to use the vwii for trauma team. Seeing how that game was not released in Europe and only got a US released, the only way I wil be able to play it is to softmod the vwii on the Wii u so it is region free. I have no interest in anything else either than that. After doing a bit of research I know I have to install the Homebrew channel on the vWii. What else will I need to do after that to make it region free? Also I would also appreciate if someone could link me a good tutorial on doing this. Thanks.

Thanks. Now people have been saying that they recommend adding a CFW on the wii u first then the vWii. Is this true?

Did you add Mocha or Haxchi? I'm in the same boat as you. I have my vWii homebrewed now. I have an n64 emulator on the vWii. Can I activate Mocha on the Wii U? Does that mean it works while in the vWii?
