Hacking VWii recovery using WupHax?

Nope, they are just educated guesses, I never bricked vwii (but I came close with a real Wii, lol)

I have not. The friend I got the WiiU from has these two games on disc so I am gonna have him bring it into work and test.

Damaging ios58 should not brick; brick comes with system menu corruption (title 00000002 file 00000023.app in eur consoles) and theme brick (title 00000002 file 00000022.app in eur consoles) or banner Brick. Replacing those files or removing the broken-banner title via ftpiiu everywhere should solve the problem.

IOS80 corruption may brick vWii but no one seems to have this kind of brick because ios80 is not sign_checked (I sign_patched it without bricking) while system menu is. Anyway I suppose you can restore IOS80 via ftpiiu everywhere too, folder /slccmpt/title/00000001/00000050

Sorry, I don't follow your reply. The problem is not the access to the vWii, but that we are not able to update the system because of a faulty ios58. In my particular case, I'm on 5.3.2, so I don't have access to ftpiiu or anything similar as that requires 5.5.1, and can't update because of ios58, and can't replace the wad as I don't have any vulnerable ios. A chicken and the egg issue.

Are you able to use wupinstaller? You can download the vWii titles with nusgrabber and try to install with wupinstaller. You can find titleids at wiiubrew title database page, at the bottom.

I think it will work if the download contains the ticket file (not at home to test now).

JNUSTool seems not to support them (maybe because of the different signature type of the .tmd ?) while crediar's nusgrabber seems to work but it does not find the files on the server (you can get .tmd, .cert and .tik files, all the others are zero-bytes except 00000000.app which is 64bytes).

Probably no one managed to investigate vWii official titles download/installation.

I managed to found it fully around the web, and it matches the size of the wad when compiled. I'm going to try this one later.

I'm using Wupinstaller Mod Y, this are the errors I got:

When replacing the cert, tmd and tik from the nusgrabber:

The names of this archives are not the same, the ones I have are 000000010000003a.cert, 000000010000003a.tmd and 000000010000003a.tik. I haven't tried to rename the ones from nusgrabber to this ones (I left them as title.*).

The 1st one seems to be a nuspacker repack. Maybe you should ask the author of wupinstaller y Mod if he can do something or better "summon" @crediar 's help.

Hi people, I need help .. I read a little of what they are talking about and I think I can get a solution here
bricked my vwii a while ago installing the unsupported ios and unistalling them all, now I can't even run the YAWMM (Wad Manager Mod) on the wii u since I don't have any ios, my only solution is to have a backup (which not I have it), patch the ios, have the file or have the files in my hands to patch it with FTPiiU .. there are people who kindly tried to help me, but my vwii still doesn't open anything or applications patched with wup.. I really don't know how to patch or get files in good condition .. so mentioned above I have to clarify that my console is American (5.5.3U)
