Hacking vWii IOS question

Hi guys,
I followed this guide here to hack my vWii (wiiu.hacks.guide /#/ vwii-modding), including the step of patching "Patched_IOS80_Installer_for_vWii". Everything went smoothly.
However, I soon started reading other guides (e.g. the guide here on GBAtemp) and they all suggest to patch with "IOS236 Installer MOD v8 Special vWii Edition" instead.
I am new to this all of this and don't want to brick my vWii. The only back up I made was an NAND backup per the first guide.
Can I try to install IOS 236 over the IOS 80 install, or should I just leave it?

You can patch both ios 80 and 236. 80 is for WiiWare fakesigning, and 236 is for some old homebrews.
