Yeah, it was Optantic and ioritree (or eco95) created the Cheat. So far, I am going into other Levels with the Code Active, so I think there are no Problems......so far
Oh, man. Anyone looking to make codes for Chasm is gonna have a fun time.
I've got pointers for HP/MP, stats, and experience that work every time when first turning on the game, but stop working if you exit to title and restart. The inventory codes are super weird. I found a working code ONCE, for one item, then follow up searches for different items, as well as the same item, yielded no results.
I'm finding that VitaCheat does not fully pause some games when opening its menu, so sometimes, when scrolling through results, values change as you move the cursor.
The experience value is weird , too. You can't max experience and have it work, as the value will go negative and continue to go negative as you gain more experience, without gaining levels. None of my searching has yielded any results that can offer a quick level up code.
The stats values are also weird. They're 8-bit values with a max of 255, but if you don't leave the code on and you level up, they roll back down to zero.
You can get around the item code issue by hexediting your save, but the game uses stacking data, so you can only modify the number of items you already have. Pasting in code to add items corrupts your save.
Fun stuff.
Sucks you're having issues. Have you tried the compatibility packs with games? I'm on 3.68, so I don't have to use them, but I should think they'd help with certain things.I'm still on 3.60 for safety reasons and have trouble with pkgj as is. Minecraft has been a pain for me bcoz I always end up with a game kick to main menu after any search lol

Most likely, the conditional code that's in there is to prevent the game from locking up. The value is probably a flag that says that the level has begun and it's okay to activate the code. There are a lot of games where the data section for stats and things basically gets wiped to free up memory for cinematics or in-between stuff. I know that in at least one LEGO Batman game, you go back to the Batcave between levels and there are no enemies, it's just like a hub world where you buy power ups, unlock characters, etc, so a "live" health value would not be needed, only the "permanent" one.@Roah : Just a Theory, but I think I know why there is that Extra Line for the LEGO Games. If I am correct, the Extra Line is for the Different Chapters. For example, SW-TFA:
Run Search for BOTH Health Addresses, get the Correct Pointer Address
New Chapter - Do the exact same thing again. Take both Addresses and Offsets for each Health Code. Kind of difficult to explain. Hopefully I can do it.
I did try to contact Optantic to find out. Hopefully I get a Response
As in, press X, gain a potion, press it again, gain another potion? Is it possible to make a command code that increases the value of an address each press?
Its probably pointless but I just wanted to know that way I could try implementing it into something,
example is this
FFX item modifier slot 1
$C001 00000001 00000200
$0000 8262A76C 000000xx
would be cool if its possible, I just don't know how if it is.
Vitacheat doesn't support increment by button press (pad) but it does support increment by compression. Is it possible to make a command code that increases the value of an address each press?
