Hardware Vita Battery Charge Mod

Hi, just bought a broken Vita, the problem being the charging port has broken so won't charge (rest of it works fine) just wondering if anyone has tried this mod to charge the battery without having to solder a new port on?



is it worth doing this or just soldering a new port on? I have another vita anyway so thought this would be a cheap fix for the broken one.

For anyone interested I did this, and it works! Mines not as neat as that but it works for me
