Can I hype the fact DS version freezes when you touch a persons 'research' though-bubble? It does with DSTT/YSMenu firmware anyway.

The PC version was fun though.

i think pc is better. but you have to pay for it. so choose ds.

It's a Sim/Resource management game. Check out the PC version first if you have a DSTT or use YSMenu on an R4 card. If not either will suffice.

You have to pay for the DS version too. Unless you're a pirate and a pirate can get PC games free too. Not sure what point you were trying to make there.

3 Hype threads? Wow, This game must be good!

It's pretty good, but not worth really even a single hype thread, especially since it's already out there and there's not much to hype anymore.

Either way, the game is a slow burn, and though I really like its take on micro management, there's a lot of watching and waiting, even with it set to fast speed.

my story:

This is my first day in my island. There is so much happened . there is a some statues and now my villagers pries. there are some people dead. and the mother has 2 babys. there are art stones and we search in the book and research it...
then our builder has make a bridge and we come to another part of the island. and we have 10230 food and 20000 techpoints

you can determine what your villagers expertise and etc

furthemore, lots of puzzle to solve

building a hut can be time consuming

it seems like it works like real time
say if we take 1 year to built a hut.. it takes the same amound of time to do the same

This game is great on the DS, albeit pretty slow at first while you have 10< villagers. You can double their speed but even that isn't enough...at times you just have to turn it off while not freezing time and hope they don't screw you over by acting stupid. Unlike the PC version I can't find any real way to see what happened while I was gone (there is a tab to check major milestones, but that's it) so upon my return I was a little annoyed at finding 2 dead. One was old age but one of my (few) women seemed to die randomly. Maybe it was disease. *shrugs*

Now I'm desperately trying to breed (not easy) so I can get some more breeders (creepy to think about my village kids as the next breeders

) so things can start happening 'round here.

I agree All the Sim game for the DS really suck! This game is way way better!

Check out the PC version first if you have a DSTT

I am running this fine on my DSTT running the latest DSTT OS. So it might be a problem with YMenu or you could have just got a bad rom, I'd try redownloading it.

I liked what I played so far of it. It has a very Sim feel with some Black & White god-like tendencies since you can physically pick up your villagers. If there's a complaint that can be had it's the lack of super fast forward while you are waiting for things that take forever like hut building or... *ahem*... baby making.

So I let the game run last night, woke up the next morning - I have THREE villagers left!!! Shame, 'cause my island(s) is doing great but it looks like all the kids I was hoping to see age and breed got into a bees nest which apparently wreaked havok on the village and killed a bunch of them since my healer is apparently a useless tit.

*sigh*

I got two of them to have a baby but I don't think it will help, I find the kids have problems doing it with their parents. Go figure.

OMG! i just found out how to make time faster!
ok this is what you do.
1. go to settings
2. change time or date
3. check your island tadaa!
NOte!
changing date makes it go forward 7years per day i think!

Bahahahaha... ok reading this comment just sold it. Getting it now... (This modern day and age I need to be sold just to bother unzipping and dragging on to my microSD... damn do I care that little?)
