Okay I was just wondering if I can view videos and music with the official firmware? If not which is the correct one?

Moonshell 1/2 is the only answer. It's a homebrew and you can find it in the downloads section. For just music you can use lmp-ng. (before someone comes in and says sakura they are basically the same)

So that means I have to install Moonshell for media only and nothing else?

Don't use the official firmware, just use AKAIO. It has lmp-ng built-in, but they're gonna take it out with the next version...Moonshell 2 is much better in every way. Check out the AKAIO wiki that's stickied in this board on how to install it.

Yes. I am using the latest stable version of moonshel with the latest akaio just fine.

Why would someone come in and say Sakura? Sakura is a firmware, Moonshell 2 is a media player which was based on Sakura. You can't say they are basically the same when they are two different things.

@OP: Try using Moonshell 1 or 2, or lmp-ng. Though I don't use either because Sakura (which I use as a firmware) has it built in, your best choice would be to use Moonshell 2 for an overall media player. Though if you want to try out lmp-ng go ahead, it's a pretty great music player which looks just like an iPod.

You have to use DPG, a special format for the DS. You can just use the converter that comes with moonshell 2...but you'll have to change the language to english first. I think you change that by editing the configuration file...

Meh I only said it because I said only answer to multimedia playing PettingZoo. They both do play the same things (minus dsm) so yeah. Maybe I should have said I was only talking about multimedia.

I downloaded moonshell from http://www.acekard.com/download.php where it says "MoonShell for AK 2" and it didn't come with any formater.

Go grab moonshell 2 from the downloads section then. It's better. Oh and that's moonshell 1.71 I believe.

Okay thanks guys it works now, but one more question. Why aren't the cheats working even though I just installed Akaio?

Did you press select after selecting cheats? It requires you to save the cheats.
