Hi guys, hopefully someone can offer some assistance.

My goal is to play Monster World IV at 480i NTSC 60Hz.

I have a PAL console, and a CRT monitor that accepts any signal I can throw at it, hooked up via component cable.

When starting Monster World IV on USB Loader GX, the game switches the video output to 575i 50Hz (PAL) every time, no matter what settings I choose in custom video modes. I've tried "force NTSC", "force PAL60" and "Disc Default". These seem to have no effect whatsoever.

Before I give up and buy an NTSC console (I really want to avoid this, having spent hours setting my system up just to play this one game), how can I force the game to output NTSC?

I think Wiiflow can patch Channels correctly.
I didn't work on channel launcher yet, it needs fixes for video mode, aspect ratio and ocarina.

for just one game, you can use wiiflow, or make a forwarder that USBLoaderGX could list and launch which will launch wiiflow. (loaderception!)

Thanks, I'll look into Wiiflow for this game :)

So is this a known issue? In the future I'd like to be able to force video modes for many virtual console games as required.

yes, it's a known issue.
I didn't have time to work on all known issues, sorry.
one step at a time, often not what users expect the most, but it's a step.

I might add that other Genesis games don't seem to have this problem, i.e. forcing the video modes does seem to work generally.
