How come the 3DS isn't listed?

I would swear I've read in IGN that the 3DS is an utter failure, akin to Virtual Boy.

Am I the only one who finds the placement rather funny?
In all seriousness though, how did Beyond Good & Evil and ?kami manage to fail? I bought copies of both at launch and I know many who did the same - and they both have high ratings.
If you read the wikipedia article, you'd know Okami sold less than 600 000 copies in 3 years.

That, sir, is what is known as a rhetorical question. I know that it didn't sell many units, I was just expressing my surprise that it didn't because as far as I had previously been aware it had sold pretty well.

As much of a failure as the 3DS may be right now, it isn't all that far into it's intended lifespan - so it may still have a chance for redemption. If Nintendo somehow manage to get a lot of good 3rd party releases (and exclusives), fix the hardware up (make it look better, fix the battery, add the second analogue stick etc..) then I'm sure it could do better.


Also that list screams Nathan Barnett.

It flopped so hard that Nintendo had to reduce the price. And even that hasn't boosted sales.
If that doesn't constitute as a commercial failure, then some of this list doesn't either.

I wonder what Ubisoft was thinking releasing BG&E on the same day as three other Ubisoft published titles.
