PS1/2 various PS3 games beta's around

so I got an email the other day asking me to sign up for the MAG beta, so I did
they said if I didnt get included in the first wave
I automatically get into the second wave
you receive this in the email so I guess it goes to all PSU/PSN people who signed up or only some randomly selected



BETA SIGN UPS ARE CLOSED
also the LBP water beta sign up is going on as well
basically they are adding water to LBP

dont know if this will cost money once it done or will be a free add on
but hopefully beta testers will get the final product free if it does cost money

Nope I didnt get a MAG beta invite either, and I doubt very much they would want everyone participating in the beta. Its probably a random selection.

I doubt its entirely random, they do have statistics of what people play you know, they're not gonna send random invites for an FPS team based game to people who play single player non FPS games for example, it would be a complete waste of time. But i imagine a certain %'age of the invites are random so that they get a better spread of results from the beta trials.

It is, it's fully random. Nothing like that at all, though we do know that they know what they play.

It's a completely unfair way of doing it; I go on my PS3 every day, and I should have got the MAG invite, not some dude who buys a Platinum 2 years after release and goes on it about once every blue moon.

That said, it hasn't gone anywhere other than North America yet (I don't think, anyway) so that's probably why.

I've entered into the LBP Water beta, hopefully they'll pick me for that.

It has nothing to be with unfair in my opinion. After all, Gamers are a small population among the total over all. Sending these beta's to casual players can result to = them buying the game. Gamers tend to decide in advance if they want the game / curious / or no, while Casual = probably don't know about it until it's shoved in their face.

This reminds me! I compleltely forgot about Little big planet. I was at the video store picking up the dark knight on blue ray. I decided to check out the games considering I have none yet for my ps3 and I didnt see anything that I couldnt already play on 360, I probably passed by LBP. Mannn I forgot about that exclusive. I cant get over it. I need to go get it now.
