Yeah.... so I formatted my comp and installed windows 7 the other day and I installed utorrent last night. I downloaded some torrents and everything was ok but looking at the amount of data uploaded, my torrents have only uploaded a few kilobytes (with one torrent with 2 mb). This didn't happen when I had windows xp. How can I fix this? Thanks.

Eww BitTorrrent
Why? BitTorrent is a nice, popular torrent application. I belive it will speed up the torrent than uTorrent.

BitTorrent, people use that? And LimeWire out of all things for torrents?

uTorrent is probably the most popular client on PC, and speed doesn't vary a lot through different apps, it's the way you set it up.

So?
I use BitTorrent, Its awesome, Fast, and i use Windows 7 with it.
I only use uTorrent on Leopard because its the only BitTorrent like interface client.

But uTorrent on PC is slow as ass.

For BitTorrent, I believe most people use that. For LimeWire, it's a built-in BitTorrent technology, which allowed to download torrents via LimeWire.

Edit: Little history lesson. Even when BT became popular ppl opted to use Bit Tornado/Shadow instead of the Official client. lololol
Case in point.

@antonkan: I know that LimeWire has built-in torrent downloads -- but it's a damn java app, it's slow and the configuration sucks. Use a real torrent client instead of LimeWire.

Is there actually many leechers on the torrents you want to seed?
Yes. That's the thing. It shows high numbers of leechers in the parenthesis but I'm connected to 0 of them. I can't figure out why. I guess I'll have to try some private torrents and see how that goes.

are your ports even opened properly? DO you see the green circle w/ check mark?

Like I said earlier I'm on Win7 and I could seed normally if I wanted. Maybe your ISP just decided to throttle your connection.

uTorrent is more popular, and the speed depends on the seeds.
If thats a Pro for uTorrent.
You need to get out of this Thread. Now

don't blame utorrent if your stupid ass doesn't know how to use it

I should add. Speed is determined by ISP and Seed/Peers. IF you got crap ISP speeds. You'll get crap speed regardless on how well that torrent is seeded
