Hello! There's no real good "tricks" or 'cheats' to this game, and I'm not one to play games legit ever. I was wondering if it'd be possible to use the Save Dongle to cheat?

I think it could go like this:
1) Copy your save to your PC using the Save Dongle
2) Send all your most expensive belongings and bells to someone else you trust
3) Load the save data from your PC to your DS
4) Have friend send your stuff back to you

I think this could work. Once I get another payday and a trustworthy person, I'll report back. :D
Psst. The item copy glitch still works (for now).

Also the save adapters for 3DS games don't work with new games anyways. They stopped working on any game that needs FW2.0 or above IIRC.

???
No they didn't. You can use them with any game, you just can't DECRYPT THE SAVE FILES.

As long as you're using your own cartridge, for everything BUT Animal Crossing you can backup to your computer and restore to that *same exact cartridge* and it will work fine.

AFAIK saves can't be decrypted or encrypted, but that doesn't mean a save dongle can't copy and restore saves... Perhaps the ID thingy is only used on New Leaf.
This exactly.

As for AC:NL, I'm curious what happens when you go from cartridge -> downloaded version. Say you own both versions of the game, and do your main save file on the physical cartridge. You then back your save up to the computer, pop it in the 3DS and transfer your save to the SD. That would wipe the cartridge's save and that same save would be on your console... so now go restore the one to the console and you have two copies of the same save?

Any idea if that would work?
