Hi, newbie here. Please help me out in figuring something out:

I recently used the BotW save file converter here:
hxxps://gbatemp.net/threads/botw-save-converter-switch-wii-u.499483

My save files are restored on my Switch using Atmosphere + Checkpoint. However I realized that I can't use them without any Homebrew (without Atmosphere and/or Checkpoint).

I searched to find a solution since I want my Switch without any of the tools you guys use, but with the save files I imported. I managed to find two ways to do so:
  1. Use HacDiskMount and copy paste the save files into the sysNAND.
  2. Load Atmosphere without emuNAND and restore the files there. I'm unsure if this works.
Please correct me if I'm wrong here but:
  • For #1, there's risk of damaging your sysNAND
  • #2 might not be possible and do please let me know if it isn't, but if it is...
  • It's faster to do it, but you risk bans.
Am I incorrect in anything here? Is there any other way I could use the save files with an unaltered Switch? Which one would you recommend and/or the safest?

I managed to find my answer. Posting this for anyone searching.

Both ways are possible, and there's ban risks for #2.. however, I did use this way to restore my save in so I don't have to use CFW anymore.

Guide for using #1 in here:

I was encouraged by the messages from this user on that same topic on restoring saves into the SysNAND:

Choose whichever you think is best. If it's a single player game like BotWI would recommend option #2 since it's faster. If it's a multiplayer game I would recommend option #1, that while its a whole lot slower it might work best to avoid bans. That being said don't do it with Smash Bros, read the topic and you'll see why.
