Hacking Using a 3-in-1 with an adapter

I was wondering if anyone thinks it's possible to use a DS Lite EZ Flash 3-in-1 on a Nintendo DS (fatty) using the adapter that comes with the Guitar Grip that comes with Guitar Hero: On Tour.

I bought a 3in1 for my Lite and the L and R buttons stopped working, so i really want to get it to work on my fatty so I don't have to buy another one...

I'm going to guess yes, but that's just a guess.
The adapter probably just connects pins to pins.
