Do you know the odd thing about this? Its mostly a meme, because of the general ignorance (QI segment term..

) of most people in here.
The basics first, yes the dude tried to get in on the groundswell of "buy the chip installation from me" posts - but to be fair, Xecuter has gotten most of its (odd) reputation for allowing people that would instal modchips a very healthy profit margin - so its very understandable, that some of them wanted to get their names out early this time around.
To be fair, if you look at the vigor with which endusers in here push for early builds of "something" - just to be the first ones to have stuff, I'd say trying to be "first" is a mindset that the average user in here knows very well.
Now to the tiny soldering part. Thats actually a thing. Dude offered up example images of his previous work, and he really seemed to be be quite adept at doing tiny point soldering. Of course the average user in here didnt pick that up and would rather laugh about something they didn't understand.
Next came the announcement of a solderless chip, which had the average person gloating about saving money not giving it to a guy for a soldering job - we'll see about that...

And an announcement, that several hackers would press for a softmod solution before Xecuter would be able to be in business. We'll se about that as well. Also - the average person - even in here probably is on the most recent firmware - so the modchip probably still sounds great to them, at this point.
"Tiny soldering guy" - is a meme, that mostly underlines, how ignorant and self serving individuals behavior can be, and that even that can get popularized, because people find it funny to laugh at things they don't understand.
At least thats what comes to mind, everytime I see people sharing that meme.
It might not be intended, but it mostly marks you as laughing about things, you dont understand - or at someone, who showed ambition (or business acumen). Also it started to intensify, when you guys thought you could save money, getting the solderless version. Which is telling as well.

Not the tiny soldering guy, but so. who has soldered before.
TLDR; If you want to look intelligent, maybe stop laughing at that meme.
