The entire useful part of DsiWareHax is that the DSi game is stored inside the NAND and has access to the NAND. If it's just running from a flashcart, it is just in a cartridge and has no access to the NAND, so can't do anything useful.I'm new to 3DS hacking, use to be a PC hacker... So once a Cart is loaded the NAND is blocked?
Edit: as a PC hacker, pretend you were exploiting a game that was stored on the hard drive and for some reason had permissions to do stuff with the OS which was also stored in the hard disk. Compare that to a game running off a floppy disk.
I don;t know if that is any good as an analogy because I don't know a lot about computers
