I have tried 2 different Forwarders: Dark_mystery's "Yet another USB Loader.." and the one with a Wii Harddrive on it with no text, and both result in a Code dump when the dol is placed in the usb_loader directory. If you use other USB Loader dols, everything works just fine. Seems like an incompatibility between Nixx's loader and the dol forwarders...

Has anyone successfully made Nixx loader channel they want to share - either forwarder or otherwise? Thanks.

AGREE WITH THAT

I also agree. nIxx's dol "for forwarder" (in the OP) doesn't work when used with the dol forwarder found here which is a shame.

Though, strangely, it does work when run through the HBC - or rather, when I didn't have the HDD connected I get a black screen with "waiting for USB ..." which is a better than a code dump

works great ! thanks a lot ,
looks great for the kids , although a wad is needed , my children in the HBC gives me the fear lol

get wwunpacker then replace the 00000001.app and repack

ive just been playing around with this , and all im getting is a code dump ?

unpacked the USB loader.wad
then renamed the boot.dol to 00000001.app
and overwrite the original 00000001.app with the new one
and repacked !

not that simple lol

sure, text color and console background can be changed.
I have altered Nixx source. Now it's white with black text.
also i set 12 Titles not 21. So I could shrink the console a bit.

Dang! so many sources...
I'll wait now for the final source from usptactical.
Would you mind sharing some code snippets on how you changed the colors and length, please? Maybe a before and after snippet would be the best?

I was also curious, if the console's background could be removed completely? If so, the background color could then be controlled by the background image!

I thought I'd mention "Tatsunoko vs. Capcom" 'RF7J' is currently missing from all the picture pack downloads.

Right-click, Save As...
Remeber to rename rf7j08.png to RF7J08.png (Imageshack made the file lowercase)

Here's an alternate cover

with usb reload -
any other dont work for me and this Modifikation is nice

me drive give me a error with the normal usb 1.1 without usb reload ..

it seems fowarder is causing alot of problems so what would be so wrong with requesting .wads it seems these channels back from the first wiigator channel have been more succesful

I don't think the console background could be completely removed.
I'm sorry, but I won't post snippets or anything source related in here.
We're already confused cos of all the sources....

Have a look at video.c everything is in there.
search for /* Set color /*

raptor1010's dol doesn't work in my forwarder either - code dump - (but again does work direct via the HBC).

Does anyone have a .dol and "forwarder channel" combination that works ?

is anyone able to get MadWorld to start with the USB Loader? All I get is a quick flash of pink, then green then a black screen. No errors, but it won't start.

Also does anyone have the complete list of US, PAL, JAP games and their game ID's? I'll go through and try to help collect cover art.

The whole pack has about 70MB worth of covers...

You can still add a few but that will increase the filesize.

You have to put them in the data directory and add them in stub.S.
Then use the name allocated in stub.S to each image to display it.

Gentlemen (and ladies),

This thread, like Kosaic said, is spinning WAYYY out of control beyond the original intent. The ONLY people who should technically be posting here are upstactical, bluebird12, n1xx, MightyMouse and kosaic, and anyone assisting them with coding or cover gathering. I understand many of you are anxious and/or frustrated, but PLEASE be patient, they are working on releases as they can, they have lives, jobs and families too you know.

So, to keep things clean and just pertinent release information, please refrain from the following:

1. posting Thanks, Good Job, Awesome, etc etc replies. Yes we know you're appreciative and want to lend your support. They know you appreciate their hard efforts already.

2. posting "Hey can u make this a WAD" replies. Short answer is NO. Again, wait until a STABLE release is done and MAYBE someone will WAD it for you. Otherwise, use Google, my friend. Making WADs is not that difficult.

3. posting "Hey this game/function/xxxx doesn't work" or any other tech support questions. While some CAN be useful for debugging purposes, most of your replies are not very helpful. I suggest someone start a USB Loader ONLY tech support thread to save space here. Seriously guys, you are cluttering up valuable space while we all patiently wait for a release.

4. posting any other off-topic chit-chat, "Me too!" replies, and anything else that is pointless.

Posting mirror links is fine, as long as its JUST a mirror link, not a way to sneak a question or comment in there too.

And yes, I count my own reply here as one of those pointless posts. But hey, somebody had to say it. I'm not the hall monitor and I have no affiliation with these fine gents and their hard work, but like you, I am eagerly yet PATIENTLY waiting for a release as well. Coming back here to see 20 new posts with the hope that one of them is a new release, when 90% of them are one of the 4 above disallowed posts is extremely frustrating, not only for myself but many others.

So please, respect their work and this thread, and keep filler posts to a MINIMUM. Please and thank you much.

EDIT: Sorry MightyMouse, forgot to add you to the list. Fixed lol.
